Paul McGill

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Paul made a Broadway debut at 17 in La Cage aux Folles (2004) and went on to perform in A Chorus Line (Mark), Memphis, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, and Bullets Over Broadway. On screen, Paul is best known for playing Kevin in the 2009 remake of Fame, with additional appearances in Man on Wire, NBC’s Smash, and Nickelodeon’s Victorious.

As an international director/choreographer, he recently served as movement director for The Land of the Living at London’s National Theatre alongside Stephen Daldry. He directed and choreographed the 5 Star world premier of Midnight at the Palace (Edinburgh Fringe). On Broadway, Paul contributed to the directing department of Stranger Things: The First Shadow and shaped the physicality of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Off-Broadway: See What I Wanna See, Which Way to the Stage (MCC), The Legend of Georgia McBride (Geffen Playhouse and MCC), and more. Regionally: Tick, Tick… BOOM! at the Kennedy Center and many others. Film/TV: Étoile (Amazon Prime), RuPaul’s Drag Race, Annie Live! (NBC). He continues to serve as Associate Artistic Director of Festival PAAX in Mexico under mentor Christopher Wheeldon, and restages select works for New York City Ballet. His honors include an Astaire Award, LA Ovation Award, and an NAACP Award.
